On-line grocer Peapod has created a virtual supermarket at a busy Chicago Transit station, where commuters using cellphones can scan and buy any of 70 items. Virtual shelves more than two metres high line the walls of an 18 metre tunnel. Android and iPhone users can download a free Peapod mobile app
