UK ELECTRIFICATION PLANS'

The UK government has announced a 1bn plan to electrify the London-Swansea main-line, as well as a secondary route between Liverpool and Manchester. The project, which will bring overhead wires to Swansea, Bristol, Bath and Oxford, is expected to take eight years. Reporting this, the BBC points out
