The Saudi Railways Organisation (STO) has contracted Talgo of Spain to build and operate the 450km high-speed railway under construction between Mecca and Medina. Bombardier Inc has signed a deal worth about $US367 million with Talgo's Saudi Arabian unit to supply parts for 36 high-speed trainsets.
