India's Western Railway has imposed speed restrictions on trains running past Gir forest in Gujarat's Amreli district because of roaming lions. The Gir national park and wildlife sanctuary in Western Gujarat is now the only habitat for Asiatic lions. There are between 100 and 150 of the animals left
