RAIL EXCAVATION UNEARTHS ROMAN SKULLS

Some 20 skulls unearthed by workers excavating for London's $24 billion Crossrail project are thought by archaeologists to be those of Romans who occupied Britain in the first century. The remains were found among examples of Roman pottery along the Walbrook River, a Thames tributary.
