POLAND SPENDS

Polskie Koleje Panstwowe (PKP - Polish State Railways), which intends to spend PLN150 million ($US53.5m) on track upgrades and other rail projects, has ordered 6 new heavy shunting locomotives from Russia. Other plans include the purchase of 10 heavy main-line locomotives and modernising the Vistula
