NEW TRAMS FOR EXTREME WEATHER IN HELSINKI

The first of 40 new low-floor electric trams has entered test service in Helsinki, Finland, where extreme weather conditions are experienced - sub-zero in winter but with summer temperatures as high as 30C. This takes a heavy toll on track beds and rails. A series of test runs on different tram line
