According to Poland's infrastructure minister Cezary Grabarczyk, the government plans to begin building a high-speed railway in 2014, hoping to have it in operation by 2018. Trains running up to 250km/h are to link the nation's capital, Warsaw, with Lódz, Poznan and Wroclaw. Polskie Koleje Panstwow
