HALF FARE FOR THE VERTICALLY DISADVANTAGED

Until now, children could not travel for half fare on Chinese railways if their height exceeded 1,400mm. But today they're growing them bigger in China, reflecting better standards of living. According to the ministry of health, the average height of six-year-old boys increased from 1,123mm in 1975
