A fleet of new diesel-electric multiple units manufactured by the CSR Sifang company in China has been shipped from Qingdao port to Sri Lanka. The trains have a maximum speed capability of 120km/h. According to the China Daily, CSR Sifnag delivered two previous batches of rolling stock to Sri Lanka
