For use on the 926km Iranian main-line from Tehran to Mashhad which is currently being electrified, rolling stock manufacturer Wagon Pars is supplying 300 passenger coaches capable of service at 200km/h. A substantial increase in annual ridership on the line is projected, from 13 million to 20.
